The article, however, seems to only scratch the surface of the "blame game." This NYTimes article also doesn't go nearly far enough. If we're really going to talk blame, we need to go back decades--decades of decisions or lack thereof that created the bubble that burst in 2008. Talking "red ink" doesn't even begin to address the half of it. Recession, housing, energy, credit--yes, President Obama inherited it and has taken on a monumental task, one that will obviously not be solved by one man alone.
So, yes, maybe we need to examine where the blame should be placed. What's the saying? Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it. It seems preventing such monumental crises, such as the one we are in right now, will take a new political generation--a new generation's attitude that doesn't prize fortune over the worker, the corporation over families.
